Obtain and incubate an egg
A Curious Egg can be bought from the Bearded Merchant. Other eggs have their own regional drops or scene sources; one egg’s source does not apply to all pets.
Make an Egg Incubator at the Copper Workbench. The reviewed recipe is 8 Copper Bars and 8 Glass Pieces. Place it, connect power and insert the egg.
After approximately 30 minutes it becomes a Cracked Egg. Remove and use that item to hatch the pet. Waiting with an ordinary egg in your backpack is not the incubation step.
Equip the pet
Put the pet into the character’s pet equipment slot and confirm that it follows or applies its effect. A pet is separate from a summoned minion.
Gain experience and spend talent points
The reference records pets starting at level 1 and reaching level 10. Damage dealt to creatures by the pet, owner or owner’s minions can earn pet experience. Support pets do not attack independently and rely on the owner.
Talents are random at hatching. Each even level awards a point, for five points at maximum level. Choose points for your use case rather than assuming a guaranteed perfect talent roll.
Match the pet to your route
Owlux offers general movement and damage support; Earie supports summoning capacity and damage; Pheromoth supports physical ranged play; Arcane Symbiote supports magic-barrier and mana-recovery play.
The 1.3 additions include Hoppet, Azeos Jr. and Cattiva. This guide does not use an older tier list to declare one pet strongest in every situation. Incubation values and recipes follow reviewed reference fields rather than an independent test of every formal 1.3 build.
